Holiday home in Andalusia with private pool.
My holiday home in southern Spain (Andalusia) is located in the charming village of Alhaurin de la Torre.
Not only is life fantastic in our village, but we’re also fortunate to live very close to the city of Malaga and the Mediterranean Sea.
When we bought our small orange farm, there was a dilapidated house nestled among the trees, just begging to be converted into a guest apartment for two. We went ahead and did it.
Staying among the orange trees
Casita Azahar (The Orange Blossom Cottage) is a wonderful place to stay. The spacious pool with its outdoor bar, grill plate, and kitchenette is entirely for our guests’ use. You’ll find seating and lounge chairs everywhere. The Dutch owners, Anne and Alexander, live a little further on the property but will leave you completely alone.
Anne is only present early in the morning to water the plants and trees and test the pool’s water quality.
Casita Azahar is located in the countryside near the village of Alhaurin de la Torre, close to the city center.
The lively city of Málaga is just a half-hour drive away, and the first beaches of Los Alamos, with their fantastic beach bars, are just a fifteen-minute drive away. The grounds and pool are not shared with anyone else.
This guarantees you maximum privacy.
Peace, space, and privacy
The holiday home is fully equipped. It has a modern kitchenette and a lovely bathroom. A powerful air conditioner ensures coolness in the summer and cozy warmth in the winter months.
We provide bath, bed, and beach towels. The TV works with Chromecast, and the comfortable beds are spacious and equipped with anti-allergy pillows, duvets, and mattresses.
There is also a washing machine that can be used for personal laundry, and a second refrigerator at the bar allows for ample grocery shopping.
Naturally, there is ample parking on the property.
Two very polite cats roam the grounds. Their names are Massimo and Cookie. They won’t just come to you, but if they notice you like them, they will probably say HI.
Wintering in Andalusia – Malaga
Looking to escape the cold and gray skies for a month, or maybe even longer?
Our holiday apartment can also be rented monthly during the winter months (low season) at a reduced price.
Enjoy a relaxing winter in southern Spain. And there’s always something to do.
The city of Malaga is bustling summer and winter, and you can even reach it from your holiday home by public transport.
Take a long walk on the beach, visit the famous white villages in the area, walk the Caminito del Rey, and finally read that book you’ve been meaning to read for months.
The pool is naturally a bit chilly in the winter months, but we have a solution for that.
We also rent out our Finnish sauna with a whirlpool and hot shower in our wellness area, right next to the pool. (per half-day)
The original Finnish sauna, which can be heated to 100 degrees Celsius, also features a cozy, heated whirlpool and seating. Perfect for a day of pure wellness.
The price for 5 hours of use is €65.
Includes:
Towels, soap and shampoo, body cream.
Glass of cava
A rental car is highly recommended if you want to explore more of the surrounding area.
The imperial cities of Granada, Seville, and Cordoba are easily accessible for day trips, and the beautiful village of Ronda and the coastal towns are also relatively close.
Another major advantage is that there’s a bus stop nearby. (Buses depart every 45 minutes for our village of Alhaurin de la Torre and then on to Malaga.)
Prices:
November to March: €120 per night (Minimum 4 nights)
April to October: €150 per night (Minimum 4 nights)
Monthly rental during low season (November to March: €1500)
Prices include electricity, water, and Wi-Fi.
We do not require a deposit or cleaning fee.
Not wheelchair accessible.
No facilities for a 3rd or 4th person.
Private parking.
Smoking is permitted outside.
